Three blacksmiths (played by staff in Thomas Edison’s laboratory – the earliest known example of actors performing a role in a film) hammer on an anvil and pass a bottle of beer around. Filmed in April 1893 and shown publicly, in a Kinetoscope viewer, at the Brooklyn Institute on 9 May 1893.
