Critics reviews

Boys’ Night Out’s overdetermined battle-of-the-sexes machinations— couching women as surprising intellectual superiors to neaderthalish men who need an education in morality more than a roll in the hay—will seem familiar to anyone conversant in the oeuvres of Ashley Judd and Katharine Heigl. What seems exotic now is the film’s general air of desperation: these guys are on the verge of—and don’t deserve—the coming sexual liberation.
