A lot of love has gone into this dark, dystopian comment on capitalism and the crushing pressure of living up to that dream's tantalising promise. Malek is great; channeling hints of Mr Robot but also bringing something fresh to his character and the real scene stealer is young Sukha Potter. The absurdity of mountain-man felt a little contrived but this is well worth a watch. 3.5 stars
this is a very pretentious movie, that tries to recycle some other (bad) attempts to make an interesting movie about the economic and social sistem that prevents people from having a real, enjoyable life. The actor is good, but the movie isn't able to convey its purposes.
If you're looking for a mind-bender, look no further. Rami Malek gives an outstanding performance in this genre-defying indie from Sarah Adina Smith. This story will hook you into a sequence of events that will leave you wondering what the hell happened by the end; and the beauty of the film is that it's designed for its audience to believe in multiple outcomes.
