Significantly better than I expected it to be. Love that Eric Idle is in it and the completely shameless cameos. Biggest complaint about this film is that most of the jokes fall flat. But yeah theres some good ole 90s shit in this movie! I'd definitely show it to my kids.
An idiotic plot and a bunch of graceless characters sink this 90s comedy into oblivion. Nostalgia and the charm of Christina Ricci can't disguise the essence of what this film ultimately is- a silly bore.
The nostalgia isn't enough to make me enjoy the 1995 PG-rated slapstick bullshit that takes over half this film, but that aside, there are some deep, dark, beautiful moments that I can only now appreciate as an adult.
