What are people saying?

  • l's rating of the film Children of the Pyre

A good doc examining the interpersonal relationships between young teenage boys trying to make a living at one of India's most sacred cremation grounds. The kids basically live at the ghat, stealing the shrouds off of corpses when family members aren't looking. They in turn re-sell the shrouds to vendors for profit. The documentary is graphic but not sensationalised; the boys are (usually) the focus here.
