Zoe Saldana makes for a compelling action lead, but the film surrounding her, about an assassin out for revenge against the drug lords who killed her parents when she was a child, is the very definition of lackluster. Lazy writing, poor sound design, and plot holes the size of Argentina characterize this bland, generic revenge thriller.
Definitely the weakest film I can remember Luc Besson having his name attached to. Terrible dialogue, poor direction and editing during action scenes, violence neutered by the PG-13 rating...and nobody as charismatic as Liam Neeson to keep your interest. You can sell tickets by having Zoe Saldana in her underwear but you can't carry a 90 minute movie.
There's nothing more entertaining than kids wanting to be assassins....... in movies. Well, nothing sick about it when you just want to see it in a fantasy. Zoe Saldana is fierce and savage. She is a believable killing machine. She showed some great acting and convincing martial arts skills. Screw your bad reviews. I'm totally impressed. Great flick!
O filme foi baseado num script inicialmente definido para ser uma sequela de Léon: The Professional. A história teria como foco a personagem Mathilda (Natalie Portman) perseguindo personagens que teriam prejudicado o caminho de Léon e da própria.
