Beautiful, interesting, incredible cinema.

Hedy was perfectly cast in this movie. She is quite charming and elegant and all that other stuff you say about women when you're trying not to say she's beautiful. Look for the crazy scene toward the end with the tanks that look like toys.
Big disappointment. Nothing works well here. Jokes about Russian administration, communism or politicians fall flat. Even the escape in a tank at the end of the movie is flawed. Already forgotten.
Pretty solid comedy. Not as good as Ninotchka which is clearly the movie it wants to be but it will do. Great ending.
Not bad, and deftly enough directed, but not Hawks-y or Lubitsch-y enough to keep from taking on water.
Has all the elements, but it doesn't quite get there.
