Almost like the Hong Kong answer to Naruse's Floating Clouds. An out of sync love story, where the perfect couple are never together at the right time. I really don't think it was too long, I actually think it needed to be that long to help convey the vast time frame.
If it wasn't for the cheesy moments I'd give this a 5.
had some delightful + moving moments and shots. Maggie C was superb as usual, but it was too plot driven and expository, and the story itself was kind of sappy, banal and rambling. Some stereotypical "superpredator"esque anti-black representation towards the end turned me off as well. Also disappointed that Terrsa Teng's music wasnt explored as deeply as I'd hoped. The soundtrack didnt feature beyond top hits :(
