While "Critters 3" lacks the more sophisticated puppetry and effects of part two, in Kristine Peterson it gains a director who understands the core appeal of the "Critters" concept: quirky characters reacting semi-realistically to a horde of razor-toothed space porcupines who want to have them for lunch. The interludes wherein the Critters behave mischievously and drink dishwashing soap provide welcome comic relief.
