Bünyamin, a 30-year-old poet from Batman, works in Bosnia as a volunteer to help the disinterment of dead bodies from mass graves. Zrinka is a Serbian-Bosnian psychologist helping people with post-war syndrome. She meets Bünyamin on the Mostar Bridge while she is considering committing suicide.

Faysal Soysal’s debut feature is a poetic, contemplative melodrama about war, trauma, confrontation, and the impact of love on alleviating the burden of the past. Crossroads weaves the fabric of folk tales, fairy tales and dreams to find hope amidst the inhumane legacy of the Bosnian war.
