A pulpy Poverty Row noir that is way better than it ought to be. Like some other low budget noirs, it requires some acceptance of a preposterous plot element, but if you can get past that, it is very good.

True pulp fiction, with the added pleasure of being a zero budget Monogram film. There is even a zombie (kinda).
This is a noir that starts at nasty, and pushes all the way to some weird corner of Hell. Jean Gillie is my favourite femme fatale of all time.
