When a group of strangers cross paths in the small town of Desperation, Nev., they find themselves at the mercy of psychotic Sheriff Collie Entragian, who’s possessed by spirits. Anybody he apprehends seems to turn up dead.

Utterly awful... Brings out just how full of himself Stephen King is when the demon yells at the character so unsubtly based upon him "you're a terrible writer" to try hurt the characters feelings... Also, the blood from an elevator works in The Shining, but it doesn't work if you make it blood from a slot machine... Fucking awful movie.
nothing scarred my childhood as much as ron perlman tilting his head and blurting out TAK. i'll never forgot how crusty the corners of his mouth looked, specially bc i myself looked the same way a few yrs later when i got mono
I can't stand Mick Garris as a director. How does he manage to get his hands on a Oscar-worthy script like this one? This is supposed to be a suspense film, but only ends up being predictable. Perlman's fantastic performance is lost because the film is plain and relentlessly preparing you, killing all the suspense. MG ruins every film.
