Ratings & Reviews

  1. Dan Kenneth Gigernes's rating of the film Dragonslayer

One of the most believable and dangerous dragons that has been on screen and that actually (for once) is blood-thirsty and eat young virgins. I like the use of light and the music and cinematography is top notch. Peter MacNicol is also good cast as a nontraditional hero. The story has some flaws and the pace is slow, but it is hard not to be impressed by the dragon and the ambition of the film.

  3. Severus Snape's rating of the film Dragonslayer

  4. Nelson Núñez's rating of the film Dragonslayer

La fantasía medieval, hechiceros y dragones nunca han sido lo mío, pero esta película me sorprendió enormemente gracias a la riqueza de su atmósfera, un guión redondo y su sentido del humor.

  5. Mark O. Stack's rating of the film Dragonslayer

What a mean-spirited movie, subverting every audience expectation of a Disney movie. Sure, the dragon get slain but there's a net loss by the end of it that almost makes that victory irrelevant. Of course I love it.

  6. Howard Fritzson's rating of the film Dragonslayer

Wonderful. This film should not be lost. The special effects are great and the cast is terrific. Ralph Richardson and the Dragon are magnificent.

  7. Matthew Horvath's rating of the film Dragonslayer

Early ILM-work and impeccable production designs and settings! The Dark Ages seem so authentic, you can almost smell those dragon-fearing peasants. Vermithrax Pejorative. Love that name. The Alex North score is dirge-like and dissonant. The unconventional hero, Galen, works in the film's overall "anti-cliche" presentation of age-old material. DRAGONSLAYER deserved more than it got! Best of its kind.
