The director should've spent more time fleshing out the sparse story and empty characterisation rather than resorting to the usual ridiculous pinku misogyny and unnecessary F-scenes. It all seems such a waste when you have such a vibrant, neon-lit 80s Tokyo lingering in the background. This film looks awesome but ultimately fails due to pink cinema's own trappings. Then again, I guess it is what it is.
