In what kind of a parallel universe does an "accordion orchestra" exist? Surely that must be in one of the lower levels of hell, no? On the up side the music by this Colombian trio is truly remarkable. Strange film but a good one.

It is a warm documentary on meeting of two different cultures, Colombian and German through music. The Colombian trio's playing in the graveyard to honor Hohner was amazing.

I felt v supportive for the main character at the end, even tho there was nothing special for the person to be honest... Maybe that's why. Appreciate that the movie just showed the man's two failures. Awkward in-between German orchestra, which was bit shitty.

Move over Sixto Rodriguez - here's a film that equally takes us on a riveting musical journey. In this case our 3 musical heroes are invited to perform at a large festival in Germany and thus explain the connection between the European and South American accordion heritage. But mostly the film is a wonderful tale of friendship, humility, integrity and ultimately adversity. Tears will be shed and goosebumps abound.

3.5 Doesn't start off great but picks up when they arrive in Germany. I personally have not related more to anyone's snow reaction on film ever so that was great! The film is lots of fun, and thank god the accordion arrived at Colombia all those years ago (you can compare and see why at some point in the film) !
