A sentimental favorite of many S. Africans and a bit of an int'l cult classic, the most alluring thing about this movie is that it was made under Apartheid. With its message of friendship and love between a black child and a white one, I am suspicious it wasn't banned because of the admittedly hilarious dig at the Peace Corp and for depicting "white" medical heroics. Maybe its peace and loveness was that powerful : )
