  • SpacePirate's rating of the film Emma

Marie Dressler's best role imo (should have won Oscar for this). A very touching film, that walks the fine line between comedy and drama that really only she and Chaplin could pull off well. At moments, youre afraid the film is going to go over the edge into full blown sentimentality, but then you realize this isnt some modern film where story goes out the window for the sake of tears. Excellent film. 4.5 stars
