Our take
A miniature absurdist wonder from Luc Moullet, shot over 3 days while trying to secure financing for various features. As anarchically inventive as a Looney Tunes cartoon, Essai d’ouverture sees Moullet stage an exercise in obstinacy and futility, waging valiant battle against a capitalist icon.
