  • Neither/Nor's rating of the film Everyday Objects

There's something subtly devastating to the elliptical narrative, in that it's inaccessible but not impenetrable, expansive without heights, true if also banal. The rule of thirds composes every other frame and the plot meanders like a redacted Rohmer script. But in the few tracking shots, in the heat of space and the blank sun, the subtractive color and sound, there's a sense, yes, everyday is narrated as such.
