The movie drags but there are great moments, like when he walks into the GM showroom and sees the lavishness with which they portray the wipers. Great Alan Alda role that does a good job of distilling the movie. Kinnear is good, other characters are very flat. Falls into the trap of being an allegory for the struggle of the author, a tendency I despise in movies, but isn't a huge drawback here.
I loved Greg Kinnear, even Alan Alda with what little screen time he had was just as good. The movie itself felt very episodic, like Law And Order type stuff. I guess if you are going to have a film with mostly television actors its gonna feel like a tv movie. That's how I see it anyways. I know its based on a true story but I felt the story was a little weak, could have been better.
