In 1966, Yves Yersin, Francis Reusser, Claude Champion and Jacques Sandoz, met with critic and producer Freddy Landry to work on a feature film made up of four individual shorts, with shared financing and materials. The idea was to tell the story of four women, aged 16, 22, 31 and 72.
