Ratings & Reviews

  1. José Neves's rating of the film Fräulein Else

The last chapter, consummating what was previously developed in a manner not exactly stimulating, is its best: fiction and form combine in an imagery of perdition, taking its protagonist to her final still/frame of death. The traveling along the hotel corridor of Else's persecution to Dorsday is extraordinary, with successive spatial changes in the distance between them, with Elizabeth Bergner kept in the background.
