14th entry in the long running series reps one of the better efforts putting some swagger back in the monster's step as he takes on his doppelganger. Series moved away from the children's entertainment section and back into the monster mash genre. Human story doesn't get in the way this time around and the effects rep a better effort this time around. Damn fine entertainment.
The story is preposterous Bond-like goofiness but the fight scenes, like an Astaire & Rogers film and it's dancing, is what it's all about anyway. And this one delivers in spades with some purely-awesome fight scenes (especially the surprising 1st fight with "Godzilla" fighting his friend with full-on swagger).
