During the funeral, while Naho, Osamu and Ryota’s relatives and former comrades are reunited, Ryota, alone facing the coffin, realizes something. As the final farewells approach, will Ryota know he is renewing the broken ties with his father?

The inevitability of death has played a big part in Going My Home and as the series ends the characters have to deal with its consequences. In typical Kore-eda fashion, however, even the heaviest of themes is explored with the lightest touch and the result is as poetic as it is moving.
