Indigenous Detective Jay Swan arrives in the frontier town of Goldstone on a missing persons enquiry. What seems like a simple light duties investigation opens a web of crime and corruption. Jay must pull his life together and bury his differences with young local cop Josh.

Great to see Aaron again in this role. I'm not sure this was totally necessary in that it's a bit of a repeat of the first one. The acting of the supporting characters wasn't so good, and everyone talked in metaphors.
A plodding, incredibly dull film with a predictable storyline, flat scenes and characters I just didn't care about. It was lovely to see Jacki Weaver redeem herself after the abomination of a performance in Last Cab to Darwin. I miss Toomelah era Sen 2 stars
A fine action film when it unnecessarily becomes one, it's a shame Sen couldn't commit to the mystery in the way that isn't merely justification for his story of Australia's continued colonialism. Albeit an important message, he lets it dictate the film in a way that undermines the superficial mechanics of plot and consequence. Nicely shot, I could watch a straighter genre Aussie western from him.
