Grace Jones is a fascinating individual who for years always gave off that sense of danger, mystique and otherworldliness and should have made for an enthralling documentary. Instead this perhaps 'too late' document only provides the aged Jones some OK newly shot concert footage, some staged-drama in recording a new record and some document of her visiting her family in Jamaica which is both self serving and boring.
2.5. Low score as there are simply too many of these documentaries now. Plus I never really got involved in it, I felt like an outsider wondering who all these relatives of Grace Jones were and what they were talking about. The guy next to me in the cinema fell asleep. But it had it's moments. I feel aging artists are seldom interesting, if they are not blues people.
