Critics reviews

Even in this compromised state, the film offers a glimpse of a time when Iran (and much of the Middle East) was still under the sway of European colonial influence. MR. HAJI is a comedy—a broad one, full of sight gags, pratfalls, and physical slapstick. The influence of American and French comedies is clear, though it is derivative here (but still fun).
