  • anarresti's rating of the film Harrison Bergeron

Expresses the classical fear that egalitarianism will annihilate human progress. It succeeds in portraying the fear, by taking that classical case to an extreme. Not exactely by showing how an egalitarian society would extremely annihilate human progress (it fails to understand egalitarianism). But by showing how extremely that fear is exacerbated. The ending of the film is quite clever and subtle.
