A modern drama freely based on real events. One sweltering afternoon in the south of France, four lives intersect: those of Stéphane and Luigi, two cousins barely out of adolescence, Georges, a retired worker, Amelie, Luigi’s girlfriend, and Anne, Amelie’s mother.

Sometimes I don't know how I'm going to get through movies like this without the actors I like. In this case, Adèle Haenel is my subject. Surprisingly, this interchanging scenes of events in this film was rather well executed. It's the simplest plot, with a burden of empathizing for its characters difficult lives.
A day in the difficult lives of small town residents; it's not the most original of premises, but the circular structure (the film begins at the end) and Pulp Fiction-esque multiple retellings of individual scenes, is really rather well done. Add to that some excellent central performances and this turned out to be an unexpected treat.
