What are people saying?

  • Daniel S.'s rating of the film Hilda Crane

***1/2. Disillusionment, alcohol, unfulfilled dreams, emotionally distant mothers, guilt-inducing mothers, sex: Tennesse Williams? No, this one takes place in Winona, Minnesota and there isn't one single gay character involved. Jean Simmons ignites the screen between her mother and her mother-in-law. And she survives. Strongly recommended.
