Fun, harmless, heartwarming, but totally empty. Needs a little more brains to be as good as a Nancy Meyers film though. Also — as always —it's impossible to not notice, BUT HAS THE MEYERS FAMILY EVER MET A POC?! Nonetheless, Pico Alexander will occupy my dreams for some time. It is what it is.
Not another unfairly maligned, misunderstood dramaedy with Nancy Meyers' name on it. Can't say I'm surprised. Meyers' daughter Hallie Meyers-Shyer directs her debut and gives "Home Again" a Woody Allen vibe in premise and zippy comedic tone, all while balancing the understated humor of Reese Witherspoon, the endlessly charming aura of Pico Alexander, and the always competent support of Nat Wolff. Delightful good fun.
