Albert Serra’s re-imagining of the Don Quixote tale is more interested in the emotional layers of the characters than their oft-told fruitless quest. The film doesn’t show any windmills. Instead, it treads along raw, untamed landscapes, which accentuate the men’s achingly noble and mythical virtues.
