  • wolfmansRazor's rating of the film Hoodlum Priest

Somewhat didactic, but ultimately fairly moving, social-issues drama. Murray and Dullea (in his first film role, and miles away from his performance in 2001) keep the film grounded, and Wexler's cinematography is beautiful yet utilitarian. Hoodlum Priest is primarily of interest to St. Louisans, as it was filmed entirely in StL and is based on Father Clark, the founder of Dismas House,.
