Momentarily very funny, even though the overarching story is stupid (not ha ha stupid) and over-exposition makes it feel leaden in many places. (But the film I watched before this was "The Interview", and this feels like a subtle Wildean masterpiece by comparison.)
Entertaining enough if you are on a 11 hour flight like I was. But if you have other options I would not recommend watching this. Same 5 jokes from the first movie repeated over and over. There are a few redeeming moments here and there. Nothing unique, or done all that well in this one.
For a film series to have an even slightly enjoyable sequel, you know it has to be good from the start. Horrible Bosses 2 accomplishes just that, with a boatload of crude humor that will get a certain audience laughing, but also a handful of all-around good one-liners that deserve laughs. It is definitely a "pal around" film and for that reason it kind of slags in spots, but is laughable and good for a watch or two.
I enjoyed it as much as the first one, which isn't to say it was hilarious, but it's a serviceably easy viewing. If this franchise is trying to become The Hangover then it already did better than Hangover 2. There's some questionable dialogue though, particularly Jennifer Aniston getting turned on by the idea of 14 year old boys doin' it. Yikes.
