Ratings & Reviews

  1. Aaken's rating of the film How to Win at Checkers (Every Time)

Bittersweet coming-of-age story, told from the perspective of Oat, a young boy who idolises his older brother and tries to save him from serving his military duties, but who learns that the only way to stay alive and up is to walk on the wrong side of the track. Young Ingkarat Damrongsakkul who plays Oat is terrific. Josh Kim's direction is sensitive and subtle.
