16mm, rewatched. I wonder if Godard knew Kamran Shirdel's "The Night it Rained" ?10 years earlier and inscribed in a similar structuralist demand for the image and the responsibility for its effectiveness (to which here is added the image-sound), an Iranian filmmaker, geographically close to this film's political area, represented literally "l'ailleurs", interventioning in loco as here is done at Palestine.
Revisited: It's barely impossible to make « militant » film, after this deconstructive political work. Cinema is purely manipulation of thought with sound and image. Film is freedom. Miéville liberated Godard from Digza-Group's slump.
