  1. the_mentaculus's rating of the film Isoroku Yamamoto, the Commander-in-Chief of the Combined Fleet

Like most popular Japanese films on the travails of WWII, this sure does run heavy on the melodrama. But as an outsider, I was highly appreciative of the meticulous detail going into the regional politicking that led the country to its historical postwar conclusion. The film's implications about the media and the country's warmongering, perhaps insinuating a certain current western power, were not lost on me.
