Most inferior sequel of them all, with plot rehearsal of the original in a first half and slasher flick in a second, with faceless teenagers; even for your "Friday the 13th" standards. Being boring with the biggest body count in the entire franchise speaks for itself while mechanical shark never looked as fake and plastic as in this second entry. Why is it considered as the best sequel of the series is beyond me.
Best scene: woman puts herself on fire while being attacked by huge rubber-shark. Then the boat explodes! It's awesome. Its also nice to see Roy Scheider back as Brody, but the shark-food posing as a group of teenagers are all pretty awful. Its not all bad. But kind of.
Roy Scheider return as Sheriff Brody in this dated and slow follow-up. The mechanic shark still look unbelievably evil and hungry but I hoped the shark would eat more of the annoying teenagers. Some mild excitement when the shark attack and actually manage to drag a helicopter underwater. Jeannot Schwartz is no Spielberg and the script is close to identical to the original except now Roy goes alone on the shark hunt.
