  • mjgildea's rating of the film Konga

2 1/2 out of 5 stars. Konga is a dull mad scientist/monster movie hybrid without any originality but a touch of foxiness. The animal violence imagery was disturbing (namely the cat killing scene and the final shots of Konga) but watching a chimp turn into a gorilla was pretty hysterical. Overall, Konga felt like a low-rent Hammer movie with none of the atmosphere.
