Our take
Revising Roberto Rossellini’s magisterial state-of-the-continent opus Europa ’51 for the quagmire of today’s politics, Radu Jude scours the crooked soul of the West with a grin just as warped. An unflinching, madcap reckoning with a world in free fall, this is an essential film for our times.
