While his wife Khaddouj is expecting to deliver a baby at any minute, Maati is asked by notable merchants in Marrakesh to transport the body of their patriarch to Tétouan for burial, as per the last wishes of the deceased. Khaddouj decides to accompany her husband on the long drive.
