Writer, director and star Steve Oedekerk lampoons the martial arts genre with this action spoof that digitally mixes new scenes with poorly dubbed footage from the vintage 1976 film The Savage Killers.
This film is not currently playing on MUBI but 30 other great films are. See what's now showing
beyond stupid and nonsensical to the point which takes it to another level of absurdity and makes you wonder how in god's name did you want to sit and watch it in the first place. that is if you have enough time to think while you are rolling on the floor laughing until your jaw hurts and your eyes pop out. birdie! tiger!
This is the most Quotable movie ever created , One of my favorite comedy ever , I'll give it 5 , only because everytime someone is watching it , I watch it and laught like hell . It does deserve a 2 or something like that , but I love it
I think it's a great movie and very good slapstick. If you take your movies too seriously, it will seem stupid but if you watch it more than once and you can laugh at it, then it's a movie that will entertain you.
Made me believe in cinema as art. Okay, If I can't enjoy the hell out of this film, which I admit has it's plenty share of misses, then just shoot me. Odenkirk's sheer off the wall-ness is genuinely hilarious. Yeah it can barely sustain its full length run time but by that point I've already lost my shit enough that it's okay.
