  • Kuja's rating of the film Lessons of a Dead Language

Found not a single review about this movie - not even in Letterboxd. It recalls the words of Robert Bresson that film art should be both abstract and suggestive at the same time. The costume is amazing: note the uhlan's uniforms. Half Franz Kafka (in the disease aspect) and half Dino Buzzati (by the waiting factor). Interesting philosophical reflection on death, bordering on nihilism ("being in non-existence").
