  • K's rating of the film L'oiseau de paradis

This is an incredible film -- very symbolic, but nuanced. You need to be in the right mindset to watch it, and ready to see the depiction of a myth about two doomed lovers. Despite the mythic structure [like Black Orpheus] where you already know what will happen in the end [or you can guess it], the film has a lot of beautiful moments. It is very hard to find, if anyone seen the DVD in stores, please tell!
