Our take

Inspired by a Tagore poem, Rituparno Ghosh’s Asukh is a touching account of the complex shades of a father-daughter relationship. Through the film star daughter’s journey of reconciliation, this poignant drama exceptionally spotlights the AIDS crisis, a topic rarely explored in Indian cinema.
