Vincent is an ex-soldier with PTSD who is hired to protect the wife and child of a wealthy Lebanese businessman while he’s out of town. Despite the apparent tranquility on Maryland, Vincent perceives an external threat.

Winocour delivers a stylish tale that has an interesting pace and feeling as it delivers an interesting story involving a damaged former soldier providing protection to the wife and child of a shady politician/arms dealer. Matthias Schoenaerts again proves why he is one of the most interesting actors of his generation but the rest of the cast fails to engage in a meaningful way. Exceptionally shot and scored.
'Disorder' has the formula for the genre film. But as much as 'Drive', it's more character driven than the usual convention. Slowly burning, but it's effective on building its tension and atmosphere without feel too dreadful. If you're in the mood for psychological laden thriller, 'Disorder' is an ample treat.

It is very stylishly filmed with perfect background music. Matthias is excellent as the main character, the body guard - Soldier on a break who suffers from post traumatic stress Disorder. The whole film is so tensed you believe he is going to go mental and are just waiting for the moment when it is going to happen. The only thing is that the film is excruciatingly slow and not much is happening at times...
Schoenaerts owns this film, giving g a muscular yet nuanced performance up there with his best. He really demonstrates why he is one of the most engaging screen actors working today. The rest of the cast have little to do - the film works because of the deeply paranoid visuals and excellent techno / white noise sound track which accentuate the protagonist's PTD
It conveys the claustrophobic, paralysing fear of a paranoid mind brilliantly. For the first half the anxiety was palpable, and beautifully heightened by the score, but then the story feels stale and one becomes almost numb without realising if there was ever a peak.
tasty little neon stunner has remarkable one-character-driven cinematography and is scored by Gesaffelstein and directed by a woman who also wrote this year's Oscar-nominated Mustang; simply the real Drive. second half is a bit over the top; that VERY ending though...
