Numerous international awards for this dramatic comedy coming from Brazil. It's a film about tolerance and we have to see this kind of movie once in a while in order to remember what we are and where we come from. World cinema (if you're not Brazilian) at its best. Recommended.
I've grown to appreciate Waddington's beautiful cinematography and a pace that really matches what I look for and long for most in films. Granted this film didn't have as much of a moving story as the House of Sand but it still really drew me in and captured me with it's graceful cinematic scope. I'm keeping my eyes open for anything else he puts his hands on.
