Our take

A veteran of Korean cinema, Sol Kyung-gu not only gives a mesmerizing performance as a murderer but convincingly communicates the emotional depths of a father. Bamboo-forest backgrounds and a vivid wintry atmosphere contribute to creating a poetic cinematic experience steeped in suspense.
