The first half of the movie reminded me a lot of the framework style shots that Wes Anderson usually does. The production seems a bit more modest and relatable. I guess Moscow's background just ruined it for me, the story is still pretty well-written
Nothing to be too hype about as it just felt uncompleted draft for something that potentially could've been a lot greater. Unfortunately apart from some good scenes, decent humor and somewhat original twists, nothing too significant, original or outstanding about this movie. The main actress is quite a talent, though.
i saw this one on one of the night programs on the center channel. they were discussing it with passion so i decided to watch it. although i don't like becoming of age movies, i was really sympathetic to the main character. and i want to buy a pineapple in the street some day.
