Message to Love: The Isle of Wight FestivalDirected byMurray Lerner
Excellent footage (the film shows Hendrix's last performance in England, p.e.), but with a very sad vibe, completely opposite to the one found in Woodstock: Message To Love is a film that confirms undoubtly that the sixties were definitely over (a sort of post-Altamont confirmation), with several of the festival headliners (Hendrix, Morrison) being found dead less than a year later.
